I find my heart and soul most beckoned by history, and its relationship with time, progress, and people. Garments carry the imprints of those who wore them, the hands that made them, and the cultural moments that shaped them.
This pull inspires my work- I keep returning to what’s already been made and lived in, with its own unique story to tell. At its core, my work is about staying connected to history, to craft, and to the people behind both, fused with a sense of mysticism that we often lose with modernity.
I want the pieces I create to feel referential but not stuck, familiar but not fixed. For me, it’s about revisiting the past and allowing it to find its new place in the present, and to resaturate the world with whimsy and wonder lost to time. In doing so, I invite viewers to reconsider their own relationship with history, not as something distant or static, but as something intimately woven into the fabric of today.
