A Lily Design Statement

Life, death, and rebirth. None without the other; all exist at once. Focusing on the juxtaposition of people's inclination to be more sustainable, but not having the economic access.

Target Market

Middle-income men and women who have no option but to choose fast fashion to wear what is on trend.

Five w’s of the forecast

What- Providing access to sustainable options to those who aren’t typically able to access them due to affordability.

When- It’s happening now. Due to the “sustainability movement,” where thrifting has become a trend and is unaffordable, fewer low-income families cannot afford to thrift shop like they traditionally have.

Where- United States specifically. However, we find this could be a trend among the target market in other countries.

Why- “Sustainability” without context and cultural, social, and economic awareness does more harm than good.
