I am from Fountain Hill, a small historical town in Pennsylvania, and I find my path laid out for me through my own lineage: my mother went to school in the city while based in New Jersey, which is the very situation I find myself in.
From my mother’s poetry to my own personal writing, I find my best efforts lie in assisting a visual medium. Through research, archiving, and press releases, it is my belief that there will always be the need to bridge the visual and the written word. I have worked in these circumstances with projects inspired by classic literature and even comic books.
I find joy in research and understanding what makes something shine, and I am passionate about how the stories we tell through fashion both connect us and differentiate us. After all, it is Mark Twain himself who said it best: “Clothes make the man; naked people have little or no influence on society”.
